“Right now, we are the highest taxed nation in the world,” said President Trump (Fox News)
The greatest threat to freedom and family financial stability is Congress and the State legislatures.
Americans are so over taxed and so brainwashed, they think that paying 30, 40, 50 percent of their income is normal and acceptable.
NFL fans are more emotionally agitated over whether tattooed multi-millionaires stand or don’t stand for the national anthem than they are with the IRS stealing their hard earned cash.
Back in the Roman Empire, Rome had to find a key to divert the public’s attention from political greed and corruption — and, particularly, from the massive gap between the rich and the poor.
Juvenal said, “Give them bread and circuses and they will never revolt” (circa 100 AD).
The elite in Congress also figured out they could steal up to 50-60 % of a working man’s income with out revolt as long as the American taxpayer could attend sporting events and eat hot dogs and potato chips.
Circuses keep people’s minds off government thieves pilfering their paychecks in the name of patriotism.
In fact, the Department of Defense (DOD) paid 53 million dollars, of taxpayer money, since 2009 to bring NFL players on the field (as pawns in the tax game) to watch color guards perform statist ceremonies and military appreciation rituals–an advertising tool to recruit soldiers and to make people think that their tattooed sports heroes are patriotic . . . and, therefore, Americans should financially support U.S. wars and imperialistic ambitions. (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)
Americans are screaming, shouting, and burning uniforms because their tattooed sports heroes don’t stand for the flag (something minor). . . but they are not screaming and shouting over the government’s theft of their hard earned cash (something major).
When will American’s take a knee and revolt over paid patriotism? . . . and revolt over the IRS and the presumptive income tax?
As long as the American white slaves have bread and circuses, it’s not likely they will ever revolt.
To hard to think about? Please take me out to the ball game! Hot dogs and potato chips, anyone?
