Tattoed Millionaire Colin Kaepernick started the mess by taking a knee to protest racial bias and ill treatment towards blacks. Hummm?
“America refuses to address the pervasive evil of white cops killing black men, and I will not stand during a national anthem that honors the flag of such a country!”
There is no lack of opinion about whether to take a knee or to not take a knee.
FIrst of all, the opinion of football players don’t count namely because they are not known for being smart or well educated. 87% were found to have chronic traumatic encephalopathy, the serious brain condition caused by repeated concussions sustained during professional football games. So, why would anyone listen to a young uneducated, tattooed tackle or tailback?
Many are upset with Trump.
But, all he did was to ask the highest paid athletes in the world to stand during the national anthem to honor their country. What’s wrong with that?
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell stated that Mr. Trump’s comments were divisive but he did not seem to think that players who take a knee during the playing of the national anthem were divisive.
Richard Petty Motorsports team owner stated those players who take a knee should be run out of the country.
Von Miller ads were pulled because the business owner was completely disgusted with the shameful treatment of the nation’s greatest symbol.
A stadium worker quit after Bills protest anthem.
Some fans set their purchased jerseys on fire and vowed not to watch their home team games.
Some young fans were so impressed with the courage of the protestors, they took a knee before a junior high football game.
Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys took a knee to protest Trump’s that owner’s should fire knee benders.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) took a knee on the House floor solidarity with NFL players who chose defy President Trump and protest police brutality.
Should Americans stand to a flag that represents the most militaristic police state in the world . . . or police brutality . . . or the imperialistic warmongering principles of the United States, Inc.?
Isn’t the military presentation of the flag a propaganda tool to recruit volunteers to go fight America’s wars in the middle east? Because the flag stands for murder and killin’ to many, why should any American stand for that?
Further, Americans believe free speech is sacred . . . that a person has a right to say what they want and when they want to anyone they want. So, how can any American object to the exercise of this right? Hell, why not go all the way and tolerate people shouting abscenities during the Lord’s Prayer at church . . . or for high school students to laugh, text, or talk during a teacher’s lecture? It’s free speech.
To Americans, there are no absolutes. Everything is relative. People are free to do or not do what they want. So, why is everyone upset? Or, are there things to be upset about?
Why are not fans or players protesting an event where God is not mentioned or honored? Or, the assault on the Ten Commandments in American politics? Or, the destruction of honorable Confederate monuments? Why is there not a protest against the prayerless NFL? Prayer before a game has a long standing tradition?
Why are not coaches, players, and fans protesting America’s shameful, murderous abortions or its toleration of adultery, Sodomy, radical feminism, or gender bender nonsense policies?
Americans tolerate the destruction of confederate memorials and denounce the free speech of those Americans who erected those monuments to honor there military heroes, but can’t tolerate those refusing to honor the flag and what it stands for . . .
. . . And, what does the flag stand for? A military police state? Police abuse of blacks? Foreign wars? White privilege? The right for women to kill their babies? The right to be a Sodomite or lesbian? The right to be a confused, psychologically impaired transgender?
Take a knee or don’t take a knee. It doesn’t matter. There are no absolutes . . . no absolute duties . . . no requirements to honor the flag that represents whatever . . . at least that is what liberalism advocates.
The knee issue is the fruit of liberalism — divide and conquer through racism, sexual orientation, sexual identity and economic inequality.
Is America now about total individualism and every man doing what is right in his own eyes? Is unity on fundamental principles of responsibility and liberty now impossible.
Judges 21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
So, if you are not sure what to do, make the emotional decision. Do what you feel . . . to your own feelings be true . . . because your feelings would never lead you astray (satire).
Something is wrong in America . . . and its bigger than kneeling during the national anthem.
Fundamentally, there is a time and a place to protest, but not during a prayer . . . or the reading of Scripture . . . . and not during the sacred celebration of the national anthem.
And, one day, every man will take a knee to Jesus Christ Philippians 2:5-12. Honor Him.

9/27/2017 Update: Bill O’Reilly expressed to Shaun Hannity that the ultimate goal of the left was not just to dishonor the flag and confederate memorials, but to defame the National Anthem, and ultimately, to discredit the Constitution because it was written by white guys who were slave owners.
“Trump is taking a beating from owners, players and press for being “divisive.” But he did not start this fight or divide the country over itKaepernick did, and the players who emulated him, and the coaches and owners who refuse to declare whether insulting the flag is now permissible behavior in the NFL.” Pat Buchanan.
A nation that tolerates the desecration of its most sacred symbols, traditions, and founding principles shall not long endure. Storm Brooks
