Did Donald Sign His Death Warrant?

What an interesting election season.

Breitbart reports that the “madman,” Donald Trump, has embraced an “ultra-progressive” immigration policy which underscores an “ . . . ideological commitment to western values like women’s rights, gay rights, and religious pluralism” as a tool to cull Muslim immigration to the U.S.; that is, any Muslim immigrant who won’t embrace the West’s slide into secular amorality will be screened and “be asked to return home immediately.”

Breitbart goes on to say, “There’s no diplomatic way to put it. In this historic announcement, Donald Trump has dramatically overtaken the chronically Muslim-friendly Democratic Party on gay rights” (August 15, 2016).

The politically reality is that politics is about compromise, and it would be difficult for the Donald to get elected if he didn’t pander to the leftists.

In his statement, he out liberalized the liberals, Obama and Hillary, using their polyamory towards gays as a means of buffering Muslim immigration. As a political strategy, Breitbart thought it was brilliant.

But, the spiritual reality is another matter. In embracing the chicks, the queers, and idolaters, did Donald sign his death warrant?

Follow me on this one.

In evaluating political policies, the Christian consults the sure Word of God.

There is an historical account in the Bible regarding King Ahab and the Syrian King Benhadad that sheds some light on politics (1 Kings 20:34).

God convicted roughneck Benhadad and sentenced him to death. In the course of the battle, Benhadad appealed to the mercy of Israel’s Commander and Chief to preserve his life. Impetuous King Ahab, out of touch with God’s will, eagerly pardoned the treacherous warlord.

In rather dramatic fashion, God ordered one of his prophets to confront Ahab with his dereliction of justice saying, “you have let go out of your hand the man whom I had devoted to destruction, therefore your life shall go for his life” (1 Kings 20:42).

The lesson is obvious: what a terrible thing it must be in the sight of God to countenance what God condemns, and to pardon one whom the LORD sentenced to the gallows!

If a politician tolerates what God condemns, doesn’t he wage war against God’s law-order? To put it another way: If a man embraces God’s enemies, doesn’t he make himself an enemy of God?

Israel’s Lawgiver called professional queers “dogs” and ordered Sodomites to be put to death –Pity / tolerance of egregious evil acts is a weakness and was denounced (Leviticus 20:13; Deuteronomy 12:8; 23:18).

Christianity’s greatest theologian reaffirmed that these sexual deviants are “worthy of death” (Romans 1:32).

Since God decreed the death penalty upon Sodomites, is it not reasonable to conclude that a king or politician that excuses Sodomy calling it a “western value” makes himself an enemy of God?

If the LORD God does to Trump, or Obama or Clinton for that matter, what He imposed on Ahab for letting “go  . . . whom I had devoted to destruction,” then these politicians have signed their death warrant, “life for life.”
