People walk through floodwaters on Telephone Road in Houston on Sunday after 2 feet of rain from Hurricane Harvey pummeled the Gulf Coast.
I must confess that with all the chaos and lies and corruption by the media about Charlottesville and the utter inability of newscasters to say anything positive about the president, a cloud of negativity hung moved in.
But, then there was hurricane Harvey which swept on shore in south Texas . . . and what were the reports? Texans, black and white, helping the stranded, rescuing the endangered, and supporting their devastated neighbors.
From the spirit of Texas sprang a gusher of hope that America is not as bad as the New York Times, would have us to believe.
Thanks Texas, that in your grievous trial, you showed us the better nature of mankind.
