- And, more to appear
Sexual assault is a headline grabber.
But, I have mixed emotions about the sex scandals coming out in Hollywood and around the country. Some of the reports appear to be politically motivated.
I’m glad that Hollywood is getting cleaned up. Does anyone doubt that sexual assaults happen? It is good that sexual aggression and rape is exposed.
On the other hand, I’m grieved over the scandals and the media’s eagerness to participate in the convenient politics of personal destruction.
These accusations are career burners.
The reports need not be true because people tend to believe the accusers. All accusations, regardless of the lack of evidence, are assumed to be true except in the case of sexual predator Bill Clinton who was accused of sexual assault by Paula Jones, Jaunita Brodderick, and Kathleen Willey.
There is one thing wrong with this list.
Where are the women abusers . . . users . . . and cougars?
Are women
always the victim? Men do not have a monopoly on sin!
Proverbs 7:10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
Weren’t there any gold diggers willing to trade sex for power and advancement? Were is the list of women that batted their eyelashes and flaunted their assets to capture the attention of powerful men?
To think all these women accusers are as innocent as a virgin’s smile is a little naïve.
Why are they coming out now?
Why didn’t they report the “assault” after it allegedly happened?
Where are the police reports?
It takes no courage to tell your story in the present political environment of fake news, slander, gossip, and victimization.
If a women claims she was raped, I want to see the battle scars, scratches, broken furniture, blood, and teeth marks. Who heard them scream, “R a p e !“? Where is the evidence of resistance?
Without evidence of resistance, we must accept the presumption that many of these women were flattered by the overtures and consented to the liaisons.
Slander is a serious thing . . . a form of murder. And, this too must be exposed.
The Rape Test
Because rape is done in secret, it becomes a matter of “he said; she said.”
The Bible has a rape test:
If the event happens in the country, the man is at fault. If the alleged rape happened in the city, the woman shoulders the blame (Deuteronomy 22:25).
What a reasonable standard!
If a woman claims she was raped by a man in the country, the jury must presume she is telling the truth. In a rural setting, the woman is vulnerable; that is, the man has the moral duty to protect a woman and to guard his actions to avoid any possibility of being charged with sexual assault.
If a woman claims she was raped by a man in the city, the jury must presume the man is innocent. In a city, the woman has the duty to scream and scratch in a violent manner that will rouse neighbors. If no one heard screams and there are no bite marks on the man, the jury must assume she consented to the man’s advances or that she used her charms to lure her prey into bed.
There is a time for
a woman to walk away . . . to resist . . . to scream.
“No means No,” but “No” must be followed by action: flight . . . fight . . . or bite!
Believing today’s headlines only benefit radical feminists (female reporters) who advance the lie that there is a war on women, that all men are beasts, and women are always the victim. Hogwash!
Even if something was said appropriately as in the case of Dustin Hoffman, it is sometimes best to keep it private rather than destroy a man by squirrely accusations.
The lesson here is clear.
Let’s not be so naïve as to believe all these men are as guilty as hell and that women are innocent as doves.
Some of these women were flattered by the interests of these powerful men.
It takes two to tango.
If these women did not scratch or scream or report the assault when it happened, the chances that she willingly consented to the advancement is fever high.
In reporting
a claim of rape after decades of silence, you have to question the integrity of the woman.
Yes, we should do all we can to stop violence against women, but we must also insist on no double standards!
Society must also recognize the presence of alpha females. Women are not stupid! The Bible fully informs us about the seductive ways of an ambitious woman (Proverbs 7). Anna Nicole Smith, Kim Kardashian, and Courtney Love come to mind.
It takes no courage to report being raped . . . when its the rage of our time . . . where the public is conditioned to believe the accuser female regardless of the evidence . . . where being the target of sexual advances is a status symbol and an attention gainer with women in pursuit of fame and money.
Stop the rape . . . and stop the slander. Report the rape . . . and report the slander!
