Pat Buchanan responded (July, 2015) to the Supreme Court Ruling wherein the Supreme gods passed legislation that all States are required to accept filthy, wicked Sodomite Unions as respectable.
Pat concluded there would be a “Coming Era of Civil Disobedience” as a result of the legal bullying.
Now, you have to love Pat Buchanan. He is perhaps the greatest Christian Statesman of our time! His analysis of politics is first class because he uses God’s Word as the canon for his decisions.
But, Pat could be wrong on this one. I do not think there will be an “Era of Civil Disobedience” for the following reasons:
Pat has overestimated the strength of the Christian church in America. Christians are as weak as a lamb that can’t stand the weight of their own wool.
Rather than eating Iron-man Wheaties, Christians have been devouring Boo-Boo Bear Honey-Roasted Sugar-Pop Cereals for breakfast sermons.
Rather than being salt and light, the modern church prefers courting creatures of darkness, and suckin’ on Lucky Charms and 12 Step Programs toward Wealth and Health.
Rather than standing up for Christ, Christians whose elevator doesn’t go to the top floor would rather be “slain in the spirit” and fall backwards.
Rather than having steel in their bones, Christians are more like a bowl of Soggy Slop Oatmeal.
Rather than feed on the Rasberry Zingers from God’s Word, Christians have been eating the pig-slop of political correctness in the public fool system. Christians are products of their time, and they, like most Americans, have been dumbed down to be nice, sweet, compliant citizens. Unlike Pat Buchanan, Christians are not thinkers; they are feelers. They will do what feels good for the moment rather than do what’s right for eternity.
Rather than be holy, modern Christians want to be happy. “Make love, not war” summarizes the new Christian mindset.
Rather than follow the prophets and take the risk of offending authorities, sheeple would rather follow their non-profit 501-c-3 CEO pastors and keep their tax exempt status.
Rather than pray, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done,” modern Christians pray, “Lord, help me not to offend anyone, and to do what the government says.”
Rather than being concerned about the glorious name of Christ, the Christians church is more worried about their self-esteem and what the media will think of them if they don’t accept faggots and queers. They don’t mind being called believers, Christians just don’t want to be called bigots.
Rather than stand alone for Jesus, they would rather be together and love the Sodomites and lesbians unconditionally. After all, unconditional love is the main truth of Scripture, right? Love the sinner and hat the sin, correct? God forbid that Christians should hate evil and those who produce it! Just doesn’t seem Christian, does it? hummm?
Rather than being careful and correct, today’s church seeks to be casual and cordial. It is the era of the Casual Church.
Rather than take up their cross to suffer for Christ, modern Christians belief that if something doesn’t feel good, it must be bad. Taking stands against legal tyranny makes Christian uncomfortable, and, therefore, the majority won’t do it. They would rather keep their jobs than take a risk of offending a politically-correct boss and being fired.
Furthermore, modern Christians don’t mind dying for Christ, they just don’t want to lose their stuff. This means they will take no stand than endangers their paycheck.
I hope Pat Buchanan is right and that Christians would rather please God than man, but I fear it just ain’t so. Civil disobedience is a form repentance, and repentance is a gift of God.
2 Timothy 2:25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth,
Civil disobedience to wicked judicial decisions is not an option, it is Christian duty! Civil Disobedience is practical Christian repentance in regards to national transgressions and lawlessness. The lack of protest on the part of the Christian community is evidence of non-repentance toward pagan law and homosexual unions; and, the rallying of Christians in protest against their government is evidence of repentance and devotion to God’s law-order!
Oh, that C
hristians might have the courage of Rosa Parks and not go to the back of the bus.
