Convenient Betrayal of Christ

We are living in a day and age of apostasy where Christians are betraying Christ in record numbers. 

Apostasy means to “revolt.” It comes from two Greek words “apo” meaning “from” and “histasthai” meaning “to stand.” Apostasy is the refusal “to stand” under the authority of Christ; to go over to the enemy and “to stand” under the command of another captain. When Christians refuse to confront government officials for their lawless legislation and “stand under” the command of government, they commit apostasy.

Betrayal means “to deliver or expose to an enemy by treachery or disloyalty” and “to be unfaithful in guarding . . . or fulfilling a trust” (Dictionary.com). 

The Free Dictionary.com defines betrayal as “to give aid to an enemy . . “

When Christians refuse to harass and resist the State’s Godless statutes that support abortion or Sodomite unions and other abominations, they do exactly what the government wants and therefore give comfort to their rebel Government officials. And, in so doing they betray their Commander and Chief, the Lord Jesus Christ. 

Christians will not betray Christ directly, but if it comes down to obeying God they cannot see, or obeying government they can see, they will do what the government wants every single time. Rather than give grief to public officials, the Christian community is providing them comfort by not protesting their lawless policies–a protest that should come in the form of a tax revolt–a refusal to pay taxes to a government in rebellion against the Lord Jesus Christ. 

Matt Trewhella, pastor of Mercy Seat Christian Church in Milwaukee, Wisc. and author of “The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate,” told Christian News Network that Christians should never place man’s decrees above God’s law. 

“This is a huge problem that Christians have in America as they separate their Christianity from their politics,” the pastor and author stated. “It makes it convenient for them to betray Christ, even in office.”

Christians betray Christ when they remain silent or speak kindly to elected officials who are passing legislation contrary to God’s law order–bills that protect abortionists; bills that rob families of their wealth by taxation; bills that promote and protect Sodomy and lesbianism and transvestism  and illegal immigration.  

How do you express love and devotion to Christ? By being belligerent and hostile to government rebels!!

Government is not God! When Christians are not bellicose and contentious with prim Godless politicians they give comfort to the enemies of Christ. But, government is god in the minds of Christians who remain silent, compliant sychophants to State officials and their tacky media bootlickers.

Alabama’s Sunday School Teacher Governor: I Will Obey ‘Gay Marriage’ Ruling Over God’s Law

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The governor of Alabama, who also serves as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa, says that he will obey the recent federal court ruling striking down the state’s Sanctity of Marriage Act as being unconstitutional.

Gov. Robert Bentley told Politico on Friday while attending a meeting of the National Governor’s Association in Washington, D.C. that he believes he must obey the courts even if he disagrees with them personally.

Apostasy! Governor Robert Bently left the Lord Jesus Christ, went over to the enemy camp, and stood under the command of the lawless, Godless, Christless federal government. 

The man needs to obey the Lord Jesus Christ and defy the federal government even it it cost him his job . . .career . . .life . . . or his stuff. When Jesus is Lord of a man’s life, it is not possible to always obey any government . . .  especially CONgress and its rebels against God’s law-order.
