Super Bowl Ads that Stuffed A New Religion Down our Throats
February 2015
I loved the Super Bowl! What a show by both teams—a championship at its best!! I even liked a few ads like the Snicker/Brady Bunch . . . and the little bud that made it home . . . but there were four ads where I felt I got a New World Order Religion pushed down my throat.
Always Like a Girl – Rewrite the rules.
When I was a kid saying, “You throw like a girl” used to be the ultimate insult where being a boy rather than a girl was a matter of male pride. Don’t misunderstand, we thought all the girls were cute . . . but being compared to a girl in a throwing context could end up in a shoving match. But, not in this ad! Being “throwing like a girl” is the ultimate compliment. The audience is encouraged “to rewrite the rules.” Now, to say, “You run like a girl” is a medal of honor and suppose to fill every girl with inspiration to be better, smarter, and more powerful than boys . . . and, boys, you should aspire to be like a girl as the world will be a better place when women are in control. Rewrite the rules means “accept feminine power or be as ugly as a boy!”
American Family Insurance: Dream Fearlessly
Here is a new gospel. Instead of the Christian message that teaches men are sinners in need of a Savior, here was a black lady teaching children, “You are the greatest. You are the best. If you can think it, you can do it. Dream big. Be all you can be! Life is about getting what you want, getting all you can, being as famous as movie superstar!” What a humanistic gospel!! Sounds like the ad agency has been sitting in the pews of Joel Osteen suckin on fruits from the Poisonous Tree.
Turbo Tax: Boston Tea Party
Use Turbo Tax because and its patriotic to be an unquestioning, obedient, ignorant, compliant dumb-down, 1040 Revenue producing tax slave for the U.S. government . . . and it costs you nothing to E-file your sworn oaths.
Jeep: This Land is my Land
This ad made me sick as the song, “This land is my land” is about how wonderful America is . . . but in the New World Order Jeep Ad “This land” is about being a new world citizen, in a Jeep, where our land is China, Brazil, Zambia, Saudi Arabia, Finland, Indonesia, and Australia. Forget America! Pledge allegiance to the New World Order and pay the damn world-citizen global-warming tax! Let Moslems and Jews and Christians and ISIS hold hands and sing, “This land is my land.”
